Dutch Honey Cake


¾ of a Cup of Dark Brown Sugar

½ Cup of Vegetable Oil (I used Macadamia)

¾ Cup of Honey

3 eggs (room temperature)

1 Tspn of Cinnamon

! Tspn of ground Cardamom

1 Tspn of ground Ginger

½ Tspn of ground Cloves

½ Tspn of Bicarbonate of Soda

2 Cups of Plain / Spelt Flour


Preheat oven 180˚

Place all ingredients into TM bowl 15 seconds on 6

Scrape down

Mix for 30 seconds on speed 6

Spoon into greased ring/savarin tin

Bake for 50 minutes at 180˚

Dust with sifted icing sugar


This cake has a dry texture. If you wanted to make It more moist you could make a honey /lemon syrup and pour over whilst warm.
