Cold and Flu Natural Remedy

This recipe comes from a VIC consultant Annie Frazier!  Many thanks for sharing this great remedy.

This is for any Cold or Flu like symptoms and is full of natural anti-biotics.

1 x Tablespoon of Coriander Seeds

1 x Teaspoon of Fenugreek Seeds

6 x Thin slices of Raw Ginger

1 x Large Teaspoon of Honey

Juice of Half a Lemon

Large Mug of Water

Heat Coriander seeds in TM bowl on Varoma, speed 1 for 2min 30sec.

Add Fenugreek Seeds.

Mill seeds together in TM bowl on Speed 8 for 10 sec.

Add ginger slices and mug of water cook on 100deg, speed 1 for 6 minutes.

If you have a head cold then put your face over the TM during the first few minutes of cooking and put a towel over your head and inhale the steam. Leave MC in the lid.

Pour seed mixture through a strainer into a mug containing the honey and lemon. Now Drink.

You may also include a clove of chopped garlic with the seeds and ginger, excellent additive, but not sociable unless you eat parsley after the drink !!

You can refill the TM bowl with water and re boil seed and ginger mixture for a 2nd drink. Not as potent but still effective.

Take 2-3 times daily.

Also increase your Vitamin C intake to 1000mg 3 or 4 times a day.

Eating an organic orange including some rind is also great for a sore throat.

I tried this recently and was lucky enough to have all the ingredients on hand. I loved it and could feel it doing me some good almost immediately. So cheap to make too.
