• 1 fennel bulb, cut into chunks
• 1 green apple, skin on, cut into quarters
• 5-10g fresh parsley
• 1 cucumber, cut into 3cm pieces
• 1 stalk celery, cut into 3cm pieces
• 1 tsp cider vinegar
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• Salt & pepper to taste
Add all ingredients to TM bowl.
Chop 4 seconds/speed 4.
Scrape down sides of TM bowl with spatula.
Chop again for 2 seconds/speed 4 if required.
Fennel – gentle diuretic, eliminates bloating in bowel and congestion in sinuses; eases flatulence; encourages milk supply in breastfeeding mothers; natural mouth freshener.
Apple – great source of insoluble fibre, beneficial for preventing diseases of colon and digestive tract + its “filling” effect acts as appetite suppressant.
Pectin (present in apple seeds) reduces amount of cholesterol produced by liver; slows digestion for better control of blood glucose.
Cucumber – reduces inflammation, especially in joints; clears skin.
Celery – gentle diuretic, calms nerves.
Parsley – increases anti-oxidant capacity of the blood.
Olive oil- monosaturated fat, lowers LDL cholesterol; powerful antioxidant.
Apple cider vinegar – beneficial for fat burning.
